Wendi, such beautiful and heartfelt words. First, big hugs of support and prayers that your crooked places will become straight. Living Wide Awake for me means allowing myself to feel and acknowledge the pain knowing that it too is a part of life. All of it is life, all to be celebrated joyously. Pain reminds me that my heart is alive and that I am blessed wit the capacity to care enough to hurt. So yes, living wide awake, embracing it all makes those smooth places even brighter.

Hi Wendi,

What a beautiful post. I like how you said some people stop living and wait - wait for life to happen again. But as we know, while waiting, life is passing us by.

I also agree with what you said about being happy - "The best way to be happy? Be grateful- and notice everything around you that there is to be grateful for." Too often we think we don't have anything to be grateful for when times are rough/tough, but if we take just a moment, we can find more things than we ever could have imagined.

I pray all is well in your world.

Thank you so much for this! My worries are not that great, when viewed from the side, but the mind has a way of magnifying them, and you reminded me that the dark really only exists to remind us of the light.

Wendi,
And you're sharing here tonight had me getting out some of the Christine Kane music I have...good for the soul.

Living "wide awake"...what an awesome thought...even in those days when it's hard to crawl out of bed. I'm living wide awake by creating the life I want...and I'll take the failures along with the successes.... (some days that's easier than others...)

I hope you're doing well Wendi, and know that it's good to see you here today...
