I wish I had the $200 right now because I would LOVE to get Online Business School. I just re-read SEO School and tricked out my new site and I have high hopes for the outcome of my efforts.

Based on my experience with SEO School, I second this endorsement. And Naomi's right. You can piece together a lot of information if you read the blogs she mentioned. It'll take a lot longer but it can be done.

<em>Melissa Donovan's last blog post..<a href='http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/WritingForward/~3/452707286/how-to-write-villian' rel="nofollow">How to Write a Complex Villian (Writing Exercise)</a></em>

Alex,

Yes, it was a long time ago. and seriously...anyone paying THAT much for a real estate coach even now is wasting their money. The company I went to is STILL not anything like that although it is a lot more ( I just went on their website and looked it up, it's under $6,000 www.Buffiniandcompany.com) and they are one of the most highly regarded in Real Estate.
I would be interested in knowing what Real Estate coaches are making that kind of money because I want to work for them!

Friar,

People have choices. No one is making anybody do anything.They can take all the time they want, they can do nothing, they can read all the free stuff...lots of options.

If there was just a buy this or get nothing...I would be more apt to agree, but that isn't the case here... she is more than willing to hand out TONS of stuff. Just go get it!

@Friar
I'm with you on this one, but it is an accepted Internet marketing trick. I think it's because so many people waffle about taking courses or buying things online so this way those selling make those wafflers commit.

I won't be taking the course for two reasons:

1) Don't have the money
2) What I've heard so far about in the free stuff doesn't appeal to me as a way to make money (yes, me and my silly anti-consumerist tendencies!)

@Wendi
You only paid $2000 a year for a coach? That must have been a while back because now it's $2000 a month (or even day) for the top coaches.

Okay, I'm know I'm playing devils advocate here.

But if you went to a car dealer, with a lot full of unlimited cars, and the salesman suggested you buy one NOW....because the price will DOUBLE soon...how would you feel?

I don't know about you, but I'd want to know why.

If I was so important as a customer, why couldn't I take time to decide, and not have to commit myself before the price arbitrarily changed?

Anyway....that's just me.

Sean,

I know how that feels. When I first started out in Real Estate, I started with nothing. But the first investment I made was to pay $2000 dollars /year for the top Coach in the industry to coach me on how to become a top producer. everyone thought I was nuts. But I rose to the top in our office. Quickly too.

Now...I will say this...a lot of others paid out good money too...and then never followed through with any of his advice...the old you can lead a horse to water thing....

But when a person is ready and hungry enough...
and I was.

I can't tell anyone what to do, wouldn't think of it. Nobody knows another person's heart or wallet. Good luck with your choice.
