I watched one of my favorite movies last night. One that never fails to inspire me. RUDY. A movie about a young man who had a dream of being a football player at Notre Dame even though he was short, weighed a little over 100 pounds and had limited athletic ability.
It’s based on a true story. If you haven’t seen it, or if you haven’t seen it in years-like me- then I very much reccomend watching it again.
Rudy doesn’t quit.
He doesn’t take no for an answer.
He doesn’t sit around, waiting for the Law of Attraction to bring him what he wants. He asks for what he wants. He takes the risk of people telling him no and if he doesn’t get the answer he wants- he asks again and again until the answer changes.
Rudy is persistent. He hangs on to his dream like a dog with a great bone. And he doesn’t let anyone take it away from him either. When they try, he just walks away. As persistent and devoted as ever.
He asks himself one question over and over throughout the entire movie, every time things are going his way. “Have I done everything I possibly can? Is there something more I can do?” And he always finds one more thing he can try.
If you want to watch a winner in action, take a few tips from him.
MAKE your life happen. The one in your vision. You can if you want to bad enough. You just have to decide that failing at it isn’t an option and find a way to get around the obstacles.
“I am where I am today because I believe in possibilities.”
~Whoopi Goldberg
Rudy isn’t any different then you and me. He just belived that anything was possible. There are always obstacles for everyone and everything. There are always ways around them. Watch the movie and see what I mean. Believe in the possibilities and not the problems. and watch your life change.
What movies inspire you? What movies that you love inspire you to reach out and grab the golden ring of life? I’d love to know! Maybe we can start an inspired movie list!
